We are staying on the north side of Rome right next to the Tiber River. We have this view from our balcony of the top of the Supreme Court. The place is called Piazza del Tribunali.
We were off early to see the Colosseum.
We hiked up to Palatine Hill, which was the place where palaces were built for kings and later emperors. It was a beautiful setting.
This is a piece of floor of the original palace.
We then viewed the forum from up above and then walked down into the city.
It was all very impressive. Spent the afternoon wandering around our quite neighborhood looking at local restaurants.
