We had another laid back day in Siena. It is so cool walking through these 13th century streets. The first thing we did was find the church that we see out of our windows.
There are all of these college kid--well boys to be exact--roaming around the town in medieval costumes. After they finish their first year at the university they are initiated into clubs based on their majors (we think).
There also seems to be a fair amount of hazing involved. These kids were sliding down a stone ramp covered in plastic and soap into the main piazza.
Our hotel condrata (neighborhood) is the giraffe. The people here are totally committed to their condrata and there is rivalry among the groups.
We ended the day with a great dinner at a wonderful little restaurant. Tomorrow we're off to see the Tuscany countryside.
