Day 3: Amalfi Coast

Today we did the grueling twisting and turning road through the Amalfi Coast in a mini-van with 6 other people. The towns and scenery are stunning, but a ton of people were doing the same thing.  Our first stop was Positano. I got great exercise today going up and down these hill towns.

The next stop was Amalfi.  Loved this place.  We had an hour and a half to wander.  It was perfect.

I saw this mural on a wall which I assume depicts the history of the town.

I had seen many photos of this church in Amalfi before the trip.  It was really stunning actually being there.

I decided to take a short hike to the next town, Atrani.  These hill-side villages are spectacular.

The next stop was Ravello.  There were much fewer tourists here so it was a pleasure to wander around the town and peak into shops.

The whole Amalfi Coast is awash in ceramics.

We were able to see the lemons growing everywhere.  This Ravello hillside is typical.

Encountered two bars in Ravello with this sign.  Love it!!

We're planning on sticking around Sorrento tomorrow and do more exploring.
